 ee fun for all!  About the Band: Conjunto Costazul  founded by Newyorican b
 rothers Freddie and Johnny Crespo\, is considered one of the finest salsa o
 rchestras in Southern California.  The Crespo brothers are singers and perc
 ussionists who during the proliferation of salsa in the 70s developed their
  musical talents in New York's Spanish Harlem\, and performed with renowned
  salsa orchestras of the time.  In 2010\, Conjunto Costazul celebrates its 
 21st anniversary\, moving forward with its unique\, swinging sound and cont

    Johnny Rivera  Johnny Rivera is a native New Yorker born and raised in t
 he South Bronx. After graduating from high school\, Rivera moved to Puerto 
 Rico where he began to sing with a local group. Inspired by his uncle\, Ada
 lberto Santiago\, Rivera began to show a strong desire to flourish as a Lat
 in singer and learn all the aspects of the salsa sound. Shortly after his a
 rrival to the island\, Johnny returned to New York and began working with J
 ohnny Colons workshop band at the East Harlem Music School. He continued to
  study and improve his singing technique and before long\, the singer joine
 d forces with his uncle Adalberto Santiago y La Orchesta. He recorded two a
 lbums with Conjuncto Clasico before departing for his solo career. To recor
 d his debut solo album\, Ahora De Verdad\, Rivera headed between Puerto Ric
 o and New York. The album\, produced and arranged by Sergio George\, contai
 ned the Frankie Valli hit\, "My Eyes Adored You\," in English\, the hit son
 g "Necesito Una Amiga"\, plus the popular salsa versions of "Esa Chica Es M
 ia" and "Como Fui A Enamorarme De Ti". The salsa singer then recorded his s
 econd album\, titled Encuentro Casual. The first single from this album\, "
 Te Regalare\," became a smash hit upon its release.       Official Boricuaf
 est DJs  La Maquinaria Musical DJ Willie & DJ Nicky These two "BORICUAS	" h
 ave been turning it out at Vasillios Night Club one of the most popular sal
 sa clubs in Los Angeles for more than 15 years playing the best of tropical
  rhythms. La Maquinaria Musical is best known in the salsa scene by the mus
 ical difference they bring to L.A. a true Boricua/Caribbean feeling!       
  Areito Borincano  Areito Boricano is dedicated to the promotion\, educatio
 n\, research and conservation of the Afro-Puerto Rican tradition (Bomba). T
 his non profit organization provides weekly dance and music workshops\, sta
 ge performances\, and collaborations with Afro–Centric groups and yearly 
 workshop with selected Master Teachers.      Freddie Munoz Freddie Muñoz i
 s one of the brightest new additions to hit the Latin/tropical music scene.
  Slowly growing into popularity\, Freddie hits a positive note with everyon
 e who crosses his path. His love for Bachata and his sexy distinctive voice
  has made him an obvious interest in the Latin market and he's only just be
 gun. Freddie was born in Cataño\, PR and was raised in the Bronx with a he
 ightened sense music appreciation.      Quique Cruz (El Terrible) A Nuyoric
 an by birth\, but representing Southern California\, this Emcee/Producer is
  back at it again. Showcasing his range of styles from raw unadulterated Hi
 p Hop\, in songs like "1Boricua" and "Can't Stop Me" to fusions of Dancehal
 l/Hip Hop & Reggaeton\, in songs like "Musica & Sexo"\, "Star Fi Di Show" &
 "Pa La Isla". Switching from English to Spanish & hardcore to comical\, Qui
 que Cruz does it all.        Salsalicious An all female non-profit organiza
 tion dance team Salsalicious has been influencing many young people in posi
 tive ways through their one of a kind Salsa and Hip Hop dance moves. Having
  performed in countless activities in California and Florida Salsalicious c
 ontinues to pursue their dreams is to be on stage with some of the people w
 e admire and look up to.     Alerta 3 Alerta 3 is made up of three young ta
 lented members focused on combining\, Reggaeton and Merengue House\, mixing
  these rhythms with\, Bachata\, Cumbia and Salsa. Andy Galvez\, from Guatem
 ala leader and founder of the group initiated at an early age by helping ch
 oreograph groups and rap until he honed a style of his own. Juan Carlos Gat
 ica from Mexico grew an admiration for the art of rapping and dancing.     
    MamBop Jazz/Salsa Mambo and Be-Bop\, the pulsing rhythms that make up th
 e music of MamBop is an exciting combination of driving Cuban and Puerto Ri
 can Mambos and American Bebop Jazz as well as "Salsa Dura" Hard Salsa. MamB
 op started out strictly playing Latin Jazz that was on the fiery side.

DESCRIPTION:LA Salsa Spots\n\nWe’re very excited to announce that we are wo
 rking on bringing you our 2nd  Annual Beach Party and Bonfire (Pot-luck) ev
 ent.   Where we can socialize\, eat\, play and dance with fellow members an
 d their children on the beach!!! (If you don’t have any kids you can still 
 join in on the fun!!)   It will be a pot-luck style event where everyone wi
 ll be asked to bring food and/or drink to share. If you have additional ite
 ms\, such as tables\, games\, wood etc. that would be great too!! &#61514\;
   This family friendly bonfire was held last year at Bolsa Chica/Huntington
 /Newport Beach area. This year we will hold it at the Newland Entrance in H
 untington Beach near the Volleyball courts).  We will be arriving at the be
 ach early in the morning to setup tent. At that time we will be sending out
  a text to inform all RSVP’s of the exact location. So please make sure you
  provide us with your cell phone number or you will not be able to find us!
 !!  Since we will be there all day you are more than welcome to come early 
 and spend the day with us. However you will be responsible for your own foo
 d throughout the day.  For anyone considering it\, I’m sorry but alcohol is
  not allowed on Huntington State Beach\, therefore\, I can’t count it as an
  item that’s being brought.   When you RSVP please post what item(s) you wi
 ll bring and your cell phone number (you can email if you would like it to 
 be confidential).  This event will only be as good as the participants make
  it so please only RSVP if you are 100% sure you can make it.  We'll meet a
 t Huntington State Beach\, at the intersection of PCH and Newland. Beach pa
 rking fee is $15 so carpooling is extremely encouraged. Or you can park abo
 ut half a mile to a mile up Newland and walk in.   We hope everyone is read
